Sailing Adventures on Video iPod

Post by Cap'n Mike »

Ahoy, Mateys!

I am so excited!

I have been looking for a delivery media for my sailing adventures on video. DVD, which I can already do, seemed like the best bet to get to a large audience; however, with the video iPod on the market, I have a new best friend.

I am still learning the system, but I have made a pilot podcast (isn't that cute...podcast) to showcase the technology. If you have an iPod, I have included instructions on my blog, http://adoryble.blogspot.com on how to subscribe to podcasts.

If you don't have an iPod, don't worry. You can still download the podcasts and view them using Quicktime on your computer.

I will continue with the blog, pictures and articles, but I will start to have regular podcasts of Adoryble Adventures.[/img]

iPods

Post by Zeida Cecilia-Mendez »

Hi Mike... Since I do have one, I saw your nice little podcast - I thought it would be a video, not a series of still shots. Why did you use this format vs. shooting a video? Any special reason? I enjoyed your blog.

It was test...

This pilot podcast was a test. In the future, I will have video. I just didn't have any video with me when I made the pilot.

for people who use cell phones

Post by joeeb »

Motorala has introduced a new cell phone called the SLVR .It has a built in ipod that can hold 100 songs, a built in video camera that can hold 16 seconds of video, internet access, a built in digital camera that can hold 203 photos and a video game arcade. It does have GPS but can only be used by the FBI to track you. I thought it might be a nice stocking stuffer or item to raffle off on the Cape Dory board.

Post by Marc Theriault »

Cap'n Mike,
I just listen to your little movie, it was funny and of course how a guy could resist at your autohelm?

Can i go and do a test on your vessel?

Pretty Funny

Keep 'em coming. Had a good laugh watching it.

Will that Autohelm handle a CD33 or should I go up a size (or 2)?

Please advise.

Frank... on Bandolera, the old Autohelm 3000 works beautifully. It's all we need. Of course, I don't go out on 40 kt. weather and expect to use it. But on a normal sailing day, the 3000 with the remote control is a blast.

Cap'n Mike, interested in a home made trailer?

Post by Gary M »

I've been meaning to tell you, there is a home made trailer in Houston that was made for a CD22. It is rough around the edges but I think it would make a good yard trailer. I think you could pick it up cheap if you are interested.
