Intrepid 40 centre cockpit

Post by Andy Petty »

I am a new member. Am lucky enough to own Intrepid 40CC hull No 5 (JEMIMA NICHOLAS). Built 1983. She has extened rig,, bowsprit and is cutter rigged. She has lead keel. Some older postings here refer to her delivery trip to UK. She has completed OSTAR since. I bought 3 years ago but have sailed her since 1997. What a great boat! I would be interested in exchanging information with other owners. There seems to be some confusion over how many were actually built! I have original drawings which could be of interest to others. Boat is UK flagged but now in Mediterranean with us while we gradually reform her to original condition. Structurally she is perfect and could go anywhere, right now but we want to get here properly right before we set off for serious sailing. Delighted to hear from others with experience of this model.

Andy,

Since we have no information regarding the Intrepid 40CC, we would be truly grateful to get whatever info you could provide and we'll make it available on our web site as soon afterwards as we can. If you have access to a computer with a scanner, so that you can transmit the data to us electronically, that would be the best route. If not, send me an e-mail (just click on the e-mail button below to the left) and we'll try to figure something out.

Thanks,
Cathy
