Carl,
You may want to start by clicking on "Cape Dory Info" in the main menu, then select "CD Boat Specs". On that page you'll find links to the specifications for most of the boats built by Cape Dory. So just click on the "Cape Dory 25D" link.
After that you may be interested in a copy of the owners manual. You'll find it by first selecting "Where to Look" from the main menu, then "Groups & Publications" followed by "Online Manuals & Brochures" and "CD Owners Manuals". Once there, just click on the link to the appropriate manual.
Continue exploring our web site and I'm sure you'll find lots of helpful info.
If you want more specific info regarding the CD25D, I think you'll need to ask a more specific question. There are plenty of other CD25D owners out there and I'm sure they'll be able to help you.

Carl,
You can start your search for information with a little exploration, namely on this web site. Scroll to the top of this page and click on the CDSOA logo or the CDSOA link, that will take you to our home page. Once there, use the menus, located on the left side of the page, to navigate the site.Carl Alberg wrote:

Carl,
If Cathy's suggestions aren't sufficient to get you interested, I suggest you take a look at your namesake's drawings and notes. I think they might be available at the Peabody Museum in Salem, MA.

Wonderful boat for one or two people. Huge forward head. Can be trailered behind the owners vehicle and sailed across oceans.
It likes to be reefed early, especially the main. I was out Sun in 25kts with a double reefed main and a rolled/reefed headsail to 100% doing 6.4 kts on a broad reach! It was 84°!!!
See John Vigor's book, "20 Small Sailboats to take you Anywhere".

Since you are listed as the owner of POEM, a 25D, You must already know a lot about the boat.
