One of the end caps on the stays'l track of my CD30 Cutter broke while sailing and the track slide on that side was loose and went flying into the drink. It doesn't appear that Schaefer makes that part (the slide that captures the track) any longer. Has anyone found a source for these or come up with a better replacement system for the self-tacking stays'l?

Pat - Unfortunately I can not offer a solution. I have experienced a similar problem and have lost the end cap of my stays't track. Please let me know if you find a replacement source and I will do the same for you.

One of my four stays'l track end caps on my Cape Dory 30K #90 was sun damaged and split last season. After much searching I was able to locate a replacement part at Rig-Rite in Rhode Island(address and telephone found elsewhere on this message board). I would suggest that you send them a sample end cap so that Rig-Rite can give you an exact match. Best of luck Tom H.
