Wetted Surface of CD30

Does anybody know the square footage of the wetted surface of the CD30? I'm trying to figure out how much barrier coat (Interprotect 2000E/2001E; 65 sq. feet per gallon; two coats) and bottom paint (Interlux Fiberglass Bottomkote ACT; 400 sq. feet per gallon; 3 coats) to buy.

I don't know about square footage, Pete, but on my CD 31 a gallon of bottom paint will just cover it if I brush it. If I roll it it takes a little more than a gallon. The CD 30 being a bit smaller I would guess that a gallon per coat would be very close.

pete, don't know the square footage of a cd30,but have a cd33. I used 7 gallons of interprotect 2000e and applied 8 coats.When using interprotect the manufacture recommends 4 to 5 coats ,more does not hurt. When I did mine I also put the interprotect under the boot stripe. If you are going to spend the time ,money and effort, do it right.

Thanks for your response. I was planning to buy 8 gallons of interprotect, but it sounds like that would be too much.

Pete,

I careened and painted my CD30 three weeks ago. I applied one coat of Trinadad by brush. Used 1-1/2 gallons.
