Which type and Brand works best?
It seems to me that a fold down style off of the transom would be most convenient and clean looking.
I have a ladder which I kind of hang off of the coamings now but its kind of unsteady and ugly.
Thanks
John

swim ladder ideas for CD25?
Moderator: Jim Walsh
I bought this ladder from West Marine:
http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/st ... 01/32/31/5
I ran a lenght of wood 14"x3"x3/4" across the top between the anchor bolts - it creates a hanger. I place the wood hanger on the deck inside of the teak coaming and the jib winch - and tie the wood off to the winch - I drilled a hole in the center of the board. It work great and it's solid and removalble.

Ladders
Hello
I used a ladder recommend by the past Commodore (who at the time had a 25d) and I really kinda like it. I have mounts port and starb'd so it doesnt matter which side I use. The model is from West Marine .

For the 25D I used the 4 stpe version.

Re: swim ladder ideas for CD25?
Hi.
all three are nice ladders and you will go with one of them, but you can get smaller by garlick thats bolts to the stern three step and takes up very little room. you can get it from any boat store, its a stock idem for $70.

I'm in the process of buying a CD25, and it sports a nice swim ladder; it's screwed into the transom. Don't know if this compromises the integrity of the glass, but it doesn't seem to have weakened anything (just a bit of corrosion, but that's not a big deal). Here's a picture for your idea factory.

Make sure your wife/so can climb the ladder unassisted. Women have less upper body strength than men.
