Cape Dory 31

Post by George F Probolus »

We are the original owners of #29 the B layout whichhas the head aft port side. We have been crusing SACHEM in Long Island Sound, Cape Cod, & Maine. Wewere frequent attendees at the Cape Dory rendevousin NewPort and the last one in Robinhood Maine. Mywife and I enjoy the 31 and the ease of handling. In 89 Cape Dory added 300 lbs of lead in the bilgefor better upwind performance, it does helpit pointsbetter. Have added CNG in 95 which improves the thermal properties of coffee & tea, not to mentionthe time it takes to boil water. We are also looking to move up to a 36 and have focused on the 85 models with the T cockpit and small head. Anyone interested please drop a line.
