I'm rebedding my thru hulls and in the process of taking them out I'm bending the bolts. Does anyone know a source for bronze bolts. I called Spartan and they said they don't carry them. If I can't find bronze am I safe to use stainless (the boat is used in fresh water).
Thanks for any info.

Re: Bronze bolts
Try Chesapeake Marine Fasteners in Annapolis. Don't have their number handy but you should be able to get it from information. If it's made in bronze or stainless, and is a screw, nut, bolt, washer, or anything similar, they have it, and at a fair price.

Re: Bronze bolts
Jerry,
Jamestown distributors is a great mail order supply of all manner of bronze and stainless boat building hardware. Whatever size you need they have. They are at 1-800-423-0030. Their prices are the best that I have found, but you have to add shipping on so if you are buying a few of something it may not be the best deal. I have been very happy with them over the years.

Chesapeake Marine Fasteners is on the net. I have had good luck with them in the past, but I am a "walk-in."
