manual bilge pump

The manual bilge pump on my CD27 has stopped working. When I pump the handle in the cockpit, quite a bit of pressure builds up, but no water is being pumped out. Is there anything obvious an simple I should check and/or repair before asking the boatyard to take a look at it?

Take it apart and see whats blocking the flow. I had a pretty good collection of broken plexiglass and fasteners that must have come from the bilge.

Start in the bilge and see what might be blocking the input hose (90% chance of finding the problem). If that's not it, check the output hose. I'd take the pump apart last.
