Hurricane Danny claims Dory Sailor/Lane Lanier

Post by Chandler Mitts »

July 18-19, off Fort Morgan, Al., in the Gulf of Mexico, hurricane Danny claimed a Dory Sailor named Lane Lanier. His half wolf/german shephard, Keydo- survived and lead officials to his masters body one miles down the beach from "The Morning Star". My name is Chandler Mitts, Keydo found me, and I got Delta to fly his back to Phoenix to the drowned sailor's sister. In examining the 24' wreckage, I retained the serial plate. # CPW300100679 The plate which reads, Dory Builders Crown Point Marine Wilmington, N.C. Sailor Lanier departed San Padre, Texas headed for St Thomas. Any info, previous owners, photos, or anything of the above would be greatly appreciated to the sister. Please be advised that the mast was of wood, hull green, deck white, and Keydo suvived the hurricane 24-48hrs. along side his drowned master, still in harness, untill the swamped vessel made landfall. A sailor who found against all odds for days in the eye of the stalled hurricane.........returned to shore by his loyal first mate....Keydo.
Please respond........I will answer you back.
