Steaming/Foredeck light for CD 25

Post by fwbouf »

I need to replace the steaming/foredeck light on my CD 25 "STAR" Hull # 836. The owners manual indicates original light was supplied by Spartan Marine. They no longer carry the light. Have any CD 25 owners replaced the steaming/foredeck light? If so what brand was used? I would like to avoid drilling any more holes in the mast. The original light was mounted with a single centerline bolt....the replacements I have seen as the marine supply stores seem to require two new holes.

These parts are now sold by Rig-Rite (Spartan Spars). Here is the website photo of the one for the CD25:

Order by fax from Rig-Rite

Post by Roy J. »

I just received the SP-055 foredeck light assembly from Rig-Rite. Since their fire in February, they are only communicating by fax. I placed a phone call that was answered by a service, which advised me to fax them again. I had to send the order form that you print from their website twice over a two week period, but received the part in a total of 3 weeks from the original order date. You might also ask them to leave longer tails on the wiring to the lights themselves, I can imagine I will have some trouble getting my fat fingers and a tool inside the assembly to crimp the butt joints.
