CD power 28 v-berth space, handling, engine choice

Post by Doug Betts »

I'm interested in a 28 sedan or flybridge but cannot find any in the midwest to look at & see if I will fit. Can anyone tell me if there is room for a 6'5"er to sleep up front? Also, how well do these boats handle in a trailing sea. Is the single gas engine a satisfactory setup for unhurried cruising? Is a bow thruster a good thing to have in this boat? Are some years better than others? I know so little but am anxious to learn.

You are welcome to have a look at mine. She is on the
Mississippi River just west of St. Louis. OSAGE is hull #204,
built in 1990, has the Volvo diesel, and is a flybridge model. Don't
know the forward berth dimensions, but will measure next weekend.
We are very satified with her--purchased in March, 1997, in Stonington
CT. Let me know if you have other questions.
