I have recently sold my CD26 and I am looking to replace her with a trailerable CD The specs on the 22 and senior are very similar. I believe the senior has a motor well were as on the 22 the motor hangs off the transom. Is there any difference in cockpit size or cabin size? Are the sailing characteristics the same? Any insight would be helpful in making a decision.
Thanks,
Peter

FLYING CIRCUS
CD22 vs. Ty. Senior
If you go to the"About Cape Dorys" section of this site, you'll be able to compare the two boats.
Note that the Ty, Sr. is set up as a day sailor, no head, no water tankage, no stove, etc., while the CD-22 does have these components. The Ty Sr. rig, like the Ty rig, is a 7/8 rig while the CD-22 is a masthead rig.
Good Luck,
