If it is in good shape (pending survey), and if all that's included is in good working order, I'd say that's a reasonable price. I just bought my CD25 about two months ago and I love it. Keep in mind, alot has to do with the market where the boat is. You can generally talk a buyer down at least a little. Also, be sure to get a hauled out survey (you never know what is below the waterline) and ALWAYS take it for a test sail. If you want more info on how to eyeball a CD for problem areas at the dock, drop me an e-mail. I learned a few from a Master and it saved me a couple of thousand.
Good Luck. It's a great boat.

As for the price I'd say that $9,000 is toward the high end of reasonable for a cd 25. On the other hand this boat is one of the newest ones out there and seems to be well equipped. I agree with J.P. Id offer less. Perhaps $7,000. (I'd be bluffing though If the survey's good and the owner stubborn I'd pay $9,000).

As to the sailing qualities I think this is a very good boat for a beginner. You will find her very forgiving of small errors. (perhaps too forgiving not enough learning by mistakes) She's a blast to day sail and although the accomadations are a little tight, she's a great little cruiser as well.

I think $9000 is way too much. I just bought a 74 cd25 for $5300 with the same equipment except loran and auto pilot. This was a direct sale, and it included a trailer . Dealing with a broker will escalate the price by 25%. Good luck!
