new board BUT CD STYLE is BEST for me!

Post by Zeida Cecilia-Mendez »

After struggling and practicing and testing the zillion ways of this new board and not feeling comfortable with it at all,
 I FINALLY discovered Cathy's suggestion of viewing the board in three different styles...

for everyone who may still be confused by so many features, go try the first option, the CD style. It's simpler to look at, more familiar... I guess I may finally stay as one of the users after all.

Still confused, would love a "view" like the old o

Am I correct? It sounds like there's a way to make the new Cape Dory board look more like the old one... that would be nice, as I'm finding the new one cluttered and uncomfortable. So what's the secret to setting up this alternative layout when I view the board?

First you have to register. Then you can click on "Your Settings" and you have a choice of 4 different board styles, WWWStyle is most like the old board.

However - if you're not registered, you will see the default style, WWWStyle, which is the most like the old board. So if you don't like it, probably the other styles won't help either.

The styles have to do with how the message index page is displayed. All the other stuff on the page - the links to the features, the formatting options in posting messages, etc. - are pretty much the same.

(This topic is being moved to the About the Board forum, to be with the discussions about the board format.)
