In my search for a Typhoon 19, I think that maybe she is in my own backyard.....There is a Typhoon for sale with the following specs:
Length 19' Displ: 3300 Constr: Glass Yr. 1978
LWL: 16"6' Ballast: 1700 Beam: 7'5" Draft:3'1"
From the spec sheets provided by this Exchange, this should be a Typhoon Senior(I think) but I
thought she had to be 22 feet and this one is only 19'...She needs some work, new teak and a good bottom job, maybe a mast...I am such a novice at this...half of the above terms I don't even know what they mean.....I have a local guy who can give me a good idea of what kind of condition she is really in...Can anyone help with a price,
is this a Senior Typhoon ....she hasn't been in the water for a couple
of years and seems to be more dirty than any thing else...she is really good looking????

Re: HELP!!!!
Rita,
It looks like some information is inconsistent. The length may be for a standard Typhoon but the weight is too much. The Typhoon weekender is eighteen and a half feet so many list it as nineteen feet. The weight though is about two thousand pounds rather than the 3300 that is listed. It may be a senior if it is that heavy.
Price wise, there shouldn't be that much difference. You can pay as little as 500 or as much as 7,000 depending on the shape of the boat. Check it out thoroughly and offer what you can afford with some laying aside for repairs.
There is also a wealth of information on this board about the various stages of repair to help out if you need it.
