Bungs for seacocks

Post by Mike Davis »

I just pull off the seacocks from the head of my CD25. The bung on the smaller intake seacock is chewed up. They are made by Groco. Does anyone know of a source to replace the bung? Thanks

Groco is on the internet. Go to Alta Vista as a search engine and type in Sea Power Marine - Groco or just "Groco" for that matter. Hope this helps.

Mike,

You should be able to order the parts you need from any ship's store or chandlery, even from discount places like BOAT/US or West Marine. If you've already disassembled the seacock, take as much of it with you to the chandlery as you can. They should be able to match the parts you've got either by just looking at them or getting part numbers off of them (if they're still readable). The staff of chandleries associated with marinas and/or boatyards usually can tell what something is just by looking at it so you'll probably have better luck with them than the discounters.
