I have a 1977 CD27 (hull #8) that has a plain fiberglass cabin sole. I know that later versions of the 27 got nice teak and holly cabin soles and I would like to put one in on First Draft. Since the CD27 sole is a festival of angles, I thought I'd ask if anyone might know if I could find the original manufacturer of some of the Cape Dory's woodwork (cabin soles, toe rails, etc) before I show up in the yard with a sheet of marine plywood and a protractor. I know you can get Cape Dory hardware at Spartan and rigging at Rig-Rite, but what about the wooden stuff? All suggestions welcome! Thanks!

CD27 First Draft
P.S. I saw some earlier postings from last October that talked about just using rugs, but I'd really like to do wood if I could!

Re: CD27 Cabin Sole
I think if you check the page on this web site that lists suppliers of parts you will see a name of a company somewhere in the northeast, Massachusettes I believe, that has a lot of the original factory patterns for the CD's and can furnish many of the wood components.Donald McLoughlin wrote: I have a 1977 CD27 (hull #8) that has a plain fiberglass cabin sole.
