1986 Cape Dory Yachts Manual Available

Post by Joe Wysong »

Inspired by Ed Rant's reproduction of the 1981 Cape Dory manual, we have created a downloadable PDF file from the 1986 manual which includes the Typhoon Senior, 26 Outboard, 26 Diesel, 28, 30, 32, 330 and the 300 MS.

As a service to those who might find all this downloading a bit much, we are also offering both manuals on a CD-ROM. Information on obtaining a copy is on the introductory page to the manual. Sorry, we don't have the equipment to produce a CD for Macintosh users. PC only.

Joe,

First let me say thank you. Many of the early 85 CD26 owners do not have a manual which covers their boat. It, apparently, was not published yet. But, just a note....I am having a problem viewing the document with the Acrobat Reader. I get an error....file does not begin with a "%PDF".

I, too, am having problems downloading. When I click on the icon to download, my browser says I have committed an illegal action and closes. Does anyone know what law I have broken to be subject to this scurrilous accusation?

There appears to be some trouble downloading this file due to format and size. Could I suggest spliting it up into bite size chunks, i.e text as one file and each figure as a seperate file. This would allow partial downloads and shorter access times.
