From my owners manual
Forestay 7/32 x 35'4"
Backstay 7/32 x 37'6"
Uppers 7/32 x 34'1"
Lowers 5/32 x 17'4"
All are 1 x 19 Stainles Steel Wire & there is a note that the lengths are approximate. For a source you might want to contact Rig Rite in Warwick, RI.

Another reliable source would probably be Robinhood Marine in Robinhood, Maine where the former president and founder of Cape Dory Yachts, Andy Vavolotis now resides. They are listed under the sources portion of this website. There is going to be a CD owners' rendezvous this spring in Robinhood and from what I can tell they are very cordial and helpful to CD owners.

My rig is on the ground in Bristol, RI if you want to come and take measurements to make up your own shrouds and stays.
I have not ordered standing rigging from Rig Rite/Spartan Spars, nor from Defender Industries, but Rig Rite always knows what parts I need once I tell them I have a CD27, and Defender is always the least expensive mail-order shop. I would try them both.

Jerry,
I'm certain that before the day is complete someone else will have provided lengths and diameters, but in case they don't I'll send the information in the CD manual to you this evening. On Tuesday I'll scan the pertinent pages and send them to you via e-mail. Do you have either program, PKZip or Winzip? If so I'll compress the files to speed transmission.
Sincerely,
Lee

Re: SOURCE OR SPECS. FOR STANDING RIGGING CD27
my understanding of the best way is to remove the rig, measure your own stays, etc, assuming they were the proper length to begin with, then make new ones the same length. west, boat/us and defender all have price matching so that should not be an issue. there is something to be said for using a local guy in case problems crop up. my own experience has been that the service and attitude that i get from defender is atrocious (service that made new york famous) but i keep using them as they carry some items unavailable thru the other guys. every time i order from them i swear i will never do it again. just my personal opinion.Duncan Maio wrote:Jerry:JERRY ALBRIGHT wrote: DOES ANYONE HAVE THE SPECS.
