Cape Dory 30' Intrepid
We have just put a deposit on a 30' Cape Dory Intrepid. I cannot find any information (so far)anywhere on any Cape Dory website.
Does anyone have information on them? Thanks,
Dee

Dee,
If you scroll up to the top of this page you will find a box that says "search". Type in the word "intrepid", press go, and you will get 380 postings about Intrepids from this bulletin board on this website.

Dee,
I've owned an Intrepid 28 for the past three years and have had nothing but good experiences with her. E-mail me if you have any specific questions.

There are details on this site in the listing of Cape Dory made boats. If you have specific questions about the 9M, I have owned one
for 8 years and am happy to answer questions on or off the board.

If you're looking for the specs, after reading this message, back out of it back to the main Message Board then scroll to the top and click on the CDSOA link. That will bring you to the home page of this web site. Then from the navigation menu on the left side of the page, select "Cape Dory Info" then "CD Specs" from the submenu.
Cape Dory built the Intrepid 28, Intrepid 9 Meter, Intrepid 35 and Intrepid 40. We are not aware of any other Intrepid models. Are you sure the vessel you're looking at is an Intrepid 30? Provide us with the HIN off the stern. Maybe we can verify the model from that.
I've been working on the Owners Manual for the Intrepid 9M and 35 for a couple of years -- yeah, I know it's been taking a long time. I had to retype it and I type a few pages every once in awhile. Anyway, I'm finished with the typing and now I'm working on the drawings. All of the Intrepid models were built using the same methods and similar hardware. So if you want a copy of what I've done so far, like I said, it's incomplete, I can send you the Intrepid 9M-35 Owners Manual via e-mail. It's currently in Microsoft Word.

I sail and teach aboard an Intrepid 9M on the Hudson. I am very familiar with the boat and would be happy to answer any questions you have. The message board is full of great info and nice folks who are willing to share it.

Nice boat
I've had a CD 25D for many years, and hope to soon be in a CD 31. So I am a Cape Dory guy.
But I have sailed my brother's Intrepid, and it's a damn fine boat. CD quality, fast and nimble. Handsome boat. Nice interior.
I'm sure you'll like it.

9M = 30 feet
Hi Cathy:
If my math is correct the 9M should be pretty darn close to 30 feet.
Probably as close as most sailboat's model numbers match their overall length.
