backing from dock-CD25

I am a new CD25 owner and have found that steering in reverse has gotten me into trouble, due to lack of turning ability, while backing. I wonder if there are any suggestions or secrets regarding manuvering in reverse. I have a new Honda 8 HP four stroke and feel that power is not a problem.

Iused to physically turn the engine. A movement of just an inch or two made all the difference in the world as to the direction the boat would go.
