While I am certain that every boat has its own price and value I will say that I paid $2,900.00 for my '72 Typhoon "SAMPATCHES" and it included 8 sails, full cushions, a new 4hp Mariner O.B. and trailer. The boat, while not "Bristol" was ready to sail. I would not pay a penny more unless it is in far better shape than "SAM". Good luck and Good Sailing.

Bruce,

I paid $2000 for a '76 Typhoon Weekender here in the upper midwest. It too needs much TLC but the hull, deck, rig and trailer are sound and a ten-year-old Evinrude was included. Another Typhoon went for $4500 in excellent shape with the works three years ago. I would see if the sails are in good shape. Mine were the original Cheoy Lee's and bagged out. I was quoted $1200-$2300 for a new main, jib and 150% genoa. Hope this helps,

Paul

I purchased a 1978 Cape Dory Typhoon Brand New Johnson 4 HP Sails in Great shape. Boat in Great shape... $3,000.00.. I work on boats for a living. Cape Dorys are easy boats to get back into shape if it needs TLC... Are your sails in good shape, the engine ?????? let me know.. I would say $2,000.00 to 2,500.00 gOOD LUCK
