Hi,
I am looking for a dealer that sells the water pummp impeller for my 7.5 hp Yamnar diesel which is in a CD25D. I would like to order a fuel filter and fan belt as well if I can locate a site from which to buy them.
Thanks for any help you maybe able to give me.

Try http://www.yanmar.com for a list of dealers; in the northeast, the distributor is Mack Boring & Parts Co. (www.mackboring.com).

Re: parts for yanmar diesel
Yanmar's are pretty easy to locate parts for, actually. If you don't have a genuine Yanmar parts dealer nearby, most NAPA parts stores can / will order parts for you. They have them in their catalog system. Assuming you have a Yanmar 1GM, you need a Yanmar # 128170-42070 impeller (BUY 2!!!) and Yanmar 128170-42090 gaskets (BUY at LEAST 2!!!) Also, you might as well go ahead and order half a dozen extra screws that hold the plate over the impeller. I don't know this part number, but they can't be that tough to get either from Yanmar or NAPA. I attended a diesel seminar last year, and the man putting on the seminar said use the "cog-type" v-belts. (NAPA # 25-07383) They run cooler, but don't over tighten... allow for 1/2" to 3/4" play. NAPA has these also. Save the old as an emergency belt... I keep mine secured with screws to the underside of the port side bunk. If you need the fuel filter on the engine, the part # is 104800-55710 (A NAPA #3262 works also.). If your boat doesn't have one, you should go ahead and add a Racor fuel / water separator and filter. I have a Racor # 120. They really work, and pretty much eliminate the need to change the secondary on the engine as often as the Racor. Use a 10 microm element on the Racor... not the standard 2 micron. And keep an extra element on board, in case you get into some bad fuel.
You can purchase Fram oil filters at Walmart... # PH3593A does the trick for a lot less money than the genuine Yanmar part.
Hope all this helps.
By the way, what hull number is your 25D? I own hull #2.

516-549-4687 or fax number 516-673-7054.
They do a very large business with mail orders of Yanmar parts.

Re: parts for yanmar diesel
I am sure that there are those who would argue with Bob O for suggesting the use of NAPA or other discounter parts, but I must side with Bob. Also, here is a url for another marine yanmar dealer http://bsd.torresen.com/yanmar/ that does a good job of mail order!
