Has anyone put a bow eye into a Typhoon? I'd have to cut into the liner to mount a big (12"h x2-3" wide vee-shaped x2" thick) back-up plate to absorb the stress of pulling the boat onto the trailer for my winter haulout next year (this year, with typical Fall low water in Barnegat Bay, was harder then I needed it to be) If you have put one in, or even have given it some thought, let me know. Failures considered gratefully.

Re: Typhoon Mooring/Anchoring/Traileing
I INSTALLED A STAINLESS STEEL U-BOLT AS A BOW EYE AND USED A STRIP OF STAINLESS SHEET METAL ABOUT 1/16" THICK 8" LONG AND ORIGINAL WIDTH OF ABOUT 2" WHICH I BENT IN A LARGE MACHINIST'S VISE TO A U'SHAPED CROSS SECTION. THE U-BOLT LEGS ARE 3/8" DIAMETER AND HAVE A SHOULDER AGAINST WHICH A BACKUP PLATE SEATS TO FORM AN EYE. I DRILLED 7/16" HOLES THROUGH THE TYPHOON'S BOW A FEW INCHES ABOVE THE WATER LINE AND THEN THROUGH THE STAINLESS STEEL BACKUP STRIP. I USED PLENTY OF #5200 SEALANT IN THE HOLES TO WATERPROOF THE INSTALLATION. THIS BOWEYE HAS WORKED FINE AND I CAN FIND NO STRESS CRACKS ANYWHERE ON THE STEM. GOOD LUCK

Consider mounting your trailer winch at the same height as your bow chock. I have done this on the Typhoon that we trailered as well as our 25D that we also trailer. It works very well.
