I have taken a series of photos of my CD30 cradle, included identifiers on the pictures and a table of dimensions linked to those identifiers. This was done in response to another CD30 owners need for this information. If anyone here is in need of this information, e-mail me and I will send you the 6 .JPG's (large file of about 1.4 meg).
Walt is working on publishing these photos here also.

Larry,
Just so that you and everyone else knows, that was a great project you completed! I'm working on the cradle right now and if I can finish before the yard pulls Hanalei, she'll have a secure home for the winter.
Again, thanks for a job well done! Other CD-30 owner's take note, this material that Larry has created will allow you to build the original cradle for a CD-30.

Re: CD30 Cradle Pictures and dimensions available
We are currently inspecting Cape Dory 30 Number 107 " Dayspring "
which is here in Nelson, New Zealand, and would appreciate any
contact from other owners, including the above mentioned cradle info.
Dayspring is a cutter rigged vessel, well equipped and in very
good condition.
Can anyone advise what the market value of a well equipped CD30
is right now ??

Re: CD30 Cradle Pictures and dimensions available
Murray,
You're looking at a fine sailing vessel! Hanalei is also a CD-30. She is cutter rigged, hull #364, built in 1984. If the vessel is in truly fine condition she would be worth anything from about 25 - 35,000 dollars U.S. I would think with the age of the one you are looking at, the lower end of the scale would be more appropriate. Of course, it depends on how much you desire the boat!(and the quantity and quality of instruments, equipment, etc.)
The CD-30 came in both a cutter rig and a ketch rig. The cutter rig had a sub model (CD-30B) that instead of a "V" berth forward had a hanging locker and then a full athwart ship head. Hanalei is the standard layout with "V" berth. You will find that the CD's are very weatherly vessels, Hanalei loves to have all her flags flying, rail down in 20 - 25 knots of wind. She'll handle this weather all day with no complaints!
Good luck with the negotiations. Let me know on the CD site if you need anything else.
