Sails for Typhoon

Post by Rick A. »

I am looking at a Typhoon Weekender and may have to replace the sails. Does anyone have a ballpark figure of what a new main and jib/genoa would cost me for this boat? Not concerned about furling and other amenities. Just a good quality suit of sails. Who makes them? Need to find out fast as it is a factor on a boat I may buy.

Rick,

Sewed my own Typhoon main and jib with home sewing machine from Sailrite kits a couple years ago. $220 for jib $400 for main with two reefs. Work really well, fun and not difficult to make.
