Wiring

Post by Ballerina III »

Ballerina needs to have the bow and stern running light wiring replaced.

The stern seems quite straight forward but the bow is another story.

Has anyone run new wire through the bow pulpit into the void forward of the hanging locker and is there an easy way to access this area.

thx.

To run new wires attach the new wires to the exisiting wires with electrical tape. Twist the wires together to make the connection as strong as possible.

Then start to pull the old wires back through to the breaker board.

Good Luck.

I agree with Bill's suggestion, but would like to ofer one twist. I had better success when using the old wite to pull a length of polypro line through the pulpit. I then used the poly line to haul the new replacement wires back through the pulpit. I did not trust the old line to have sufficient strength to haul the new wires and the poly was a much stronger substitute.
