Hello to all
Well I gave the Zepplin Inflatable a closer look this weekend and it appears to be in good condition.
It is a 1995 model private brand built by Zepplin. A Bear (the brand)
Kodiak (the model) 8.6 rollup with aluminum slats and intergral transom. The only thing I cannon determine is if it is PVC or Hypalon. It doesnt appear to have the "rough" texture of some of the hypalon boats I've seen, but you can see the criss-cross pattern that someone told me was indicative of hypalon.......
If anyone can offer words of wisdom on discerning PVC from Hypalon I would really & truly appreciate it.

PVC is slick and rather shiny and it also has a texture and so it can be mistaken for hypalon. In my opinion hypalon has a coarser texture and it has a duller finish and is thicker so you should be able to tell. That's probably not much help because it all boils down to interpretation. If you are unsure how to determine the difference visit someplace that sells inflatables and compare the two materials. Good luck.

Generally if it has the look and feel of rubber it is Hypalon. If it has the look and feel of plastic it is PVC. Once you see an example of both, it is easy to distinguish one from the other. PVC has a sheen that is different then the duller finish of Hypalon.
