Does anyone know the telephone number of a Whale distributor in the USA? I need a part for the bilge pump on Hanalei called a "fork". West Marine didn't have it and neither did a local marina. The only phone number I did get is for Northern Ireland! The pump on Hanalei is very similiar to what today is called a Gusher Urchin pump, in fact it may be identical except for inlet and outlet fitting diameters. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

I'm not sure what part of the country you are in, Dave. If the number Joe gave you doesn't work you might try the West Coast Importer. They distribute Seagull Outboards, Avons, and other products from UK such as Whale Pumps. I haven't dealt with them in 10 years so this number may be out of date, but they used to be in Irvine, Calif. and their number was (714) 250-0880. Good luck.Joe wrote:IMTRA CorpD. Sorry, forgot to say that the name of the company is "Seagull Marine"Tom Coons wrote:I'm not sure what part of the country you are in, Dave. Re: Whale Gusher bilge pump, 1984 CD-30
For what its worth, Several times I have needed a phone number for a part and found that West Tech Svc has the distributor's number even if they do not carry the part. Ditto with Boat US and JSI.
Re: Whale Gusher bilge pump, Thanks to all!!
Thanks to all for your help, I did get hold of a parts distributor, the part would have been $24.95! A brandy new Whale Gusher Urchin pump is $49.95 from West Marine(my local marina store matched the price) and is a direct replacement. Decided that a whole new pump was the way to go, installed it Saturday and it's done! Thanks again for your help!
