Hi All-
I'm buying (assuming the survey goes well and all) a CD25 (#306 I think) and I am wondering what I can expect to pay in insurance.
I plan on talking to BoatUS Insurance, but other suggestions are welcome.
The boat will be on the Great Lakes (Fairport Harbor, OH most likely).
TIA,
Doug

Re: CD25 Insurance Question (Great Lakes)
My insurance cost me about three hundred, but that for the alantic coast and I am not sure if there is a cost differance between the two area for insurance cost. They gave me a quoat over the phone so you could also give then a call. They might also request a copy of the survey and they could request that you have some things changed before they will insure you.

Re: CD25 Insurance Question (Great Lakes)
I pay $180.00 through BoatUS. I have high liability, the boat valued at $9500.00 and the trailer at $200.00. I am in Chicago and my insurance covers me on all the Great Lakes and inland waterways down to the George Washington Bridge on the Hudson. That is northern Manhattan in case you are not familiar. There are a few more bells and whistles I did not add to the policy. BoatUS offers towing coverage seperately. Check it out on their website. Towing is very expensive.Doug Pierce wrote: Hi All-
