Can someone tell me what the two small knobs on the control panel are for. They are set below the tach and temp.gauge. They both are push-pull designed but I can't figure out what they do?
Also how can I get a hold of an owners manual for this engine. Thanks as usual for your help.

I have recently bought CD 28 Hull #200!! I was told that the owner's manual for the MD7A is out of print. If you find a source, please forward the info on to me!! Thanks. I have some very limited photo-copied info and according to that, both knobs are "switch, extra lighting. But it doesn't say anything more specific. If you don't find a better source of info, let me know and I'll be happy to send you what I have. Craig Scott

I've got the original owners manual of the MD7. I'd be pleased to share any information with other CD 28 owners.
Unfortunately, the manual's on the boat right now, and I don't expect to sail until this week-end.
I don't know what the knobs are for either.
Assuming it wouldn't violate any copyright laws, I think I could figure out a way to scan the manual and email to anyone who needs a copy. I won't be able to do this until a week from now.

On my panel, there is one nob that turns on the instrument panel lights. The other is a blank.
You can still get manuals for the MD7 from Volvo, my wife just got me one for Christmas last year. Check with your local Volvo distributor.
