I am in need of a main sail for a CD Typhoon Daysailer. Does any body have a used sail they would like to part with for the right $. Please E-mail me at sdownes@hyattrealestate.com in Annapolis, Md. If you don't have a sail, maybe you can point me in the right direction.

Re: main sail for typhoon
Bought mine new a few months ago and it was only $600 and that included a lot of extras on the sail including full battens, trade wind specs, full roach so I can race it if I want, and two reefs. It is also made of 6.5 oz. dacon, this sail will last a long time. You can get one less expensive than this if you just want a basic sail. Shop around via the internet, there are tons of sail makers on line. The least expensive I have found so far is my local sail maker, not the one who made the main, but rather the one who made my new jib two months back. I had a new yankee cut 100% made for only $210 including all racing specs and also made of 6.5oz. dacron. The name of this sail maker is C & C sailmakers and they are located in Houston Tx. you can call info for the phone number. The area code is (713).

Thanks again.Brent Musolf wrote: Found one in Florida . Thanks. Sounds like you found a good sail. I am re fitting the typhoon. It was in rough shape and sat in the water for three years without being painted. the hull had a few dings. but with some work it's going to be new again. the boat is a 75' and the main was blown out. all the rigging is still in excellent shape. the boat was rigged for a handicapped sailor to single hand. So, if your in the Annapolis area give me a e-mail and we will go sailing.
