The RACE - - -RULES,
Captains,
I saw this on another site, and just had to pass it on. I have modified it a bit!
Racing Rules:
1. Each yacht must start from Bartlett reef on or about August 4th, 2002 and finish at or near Latimer's Reef in the same year!
2. All vessels are requested to run their engines at least one hour each day - not for propulsion.
3. If the weather is poor at the intended start time, the start will be delayed until the weather is good(or at least resonable).
4. All vessels will maintain 24 hour watch.
5. All vessels will have a 360 degree masthead light.
6. All competitors to be at the Watch Hill Inn at 1830 hours 8/4/02 for customs and immigration clearances whether they have finished the race or not! Grog will be served!
7. The finish line will be clearly marked, it is an invisible line running from Latimers Reef light due North!
8. Radio schedules are encouraged, but not compulsory. We would like to know where the hell ya are!
9. Each yacht must float at least 4" below her designed LWL. ADD weight if you do not meet this requirement.
10. Each yacht must carry Spirituous liquor to the Race Committee Chairmans satisfaction. The Race Committee Chair may remove samples of said Spirits from each vessel for analysis at his leisure.
11.The use of light weather sails or drifter/reachers is to be discouraged, motoring is required if wind speed drops below 10 knots.
12. Penalties will be incurred on yachts with any of the following:
Rod rigging
Bloopers
Matching foul weather gear.
Rating certificates
Sails LESS than 4 years old!
Trouble free refrigeration systems or working Alcohol Stoves!
Crew equipped with Sperry Topsiders or similar footwear!
An allowance will be given to yachts carrying two or more of the following:
Iron, ironing board.
Washing Machine
Potted plants or POT plants
Goose barnacles exceeding 2" in length on underwater surfaces of the hull.
More than 2 pairs of pyjamas per crewmember.
Children
Hand-me-down charts or Zeroxed charts more than 15 years old.
Smaller Cape Dorys may start up to three (3) days early, if they wish, but they WILL miss the PIG roast!
OK, so there they are - direct from the RACE Committee Chairman. Any comments Captains, or can you live with this......your Servant Sirs,......I remain......

Re: Some additional allowances.....
Captains,
Captain Bloody Feder, of the Pirate vessel Alphee, has suggest some items that would also qualify for additional allowances:
If the vessel is equipped with:
1. A Rototiller
2. A Pitchfork serving as mizzen boom instead of original.
3. At least six items of laundry drying from lifelines, on both port and stb'd sides, must include bra & bikini items.
4. Towing a rigid or inflatable dink with several cases of beer for ballast
5. Free-ranging chickens on deck, must be clearly visible from 100 yards.
This is getting BETTER all the time ! ! !

Re: Sailing Naked
I recently was doing some online searching for bareboat companies in the Bahamas and decided to try a blind web hit--I typed in "www.bareboating.com" and imagine what I saw...nekkid people on sailboats.

Re: Ah Kay, let's just hold this up.....
Captains,
Ok, I made NO mention of anything or ANYONE racing nikked! It is not even described in the uniform of the day, and as we are a bunch of rowdy sailors, will NOT even be considered!!! Besides, what would my MaMa think ? ? ?
