I was just wondering if anyone attended the Chesapeake Fleet meeting at Solomons Island last week. I didn't get to go because of work but I hoped to hear what happened. Thanks ;^)

Great weather, great meeting. Thirty folks in attendance. Bud Menchey proposed an ambitious cruise agenda. Roald Horton presented some nuts and bolts for cruising the Intracoastal Waterway. Officers were elected. Details will be posted at the web site and in the next Masthead. Cruises include a late Spring, early Summer cruise of the Potomac River; a long-legged southern Bay cruise, including a rendezvous hosted by the Rappahanock River Yacht Club, in mid-Summer, and an early Fall cruise of the northern Bay. Watch for details.
For those really engergetic souls, the schedule will permit a boat to do all of the Chesapeake Fleet activities AND all of the NE Fleet activities!

Love it when a plan comes together
Allen,
That sounds GREAT!! One of the thoughts of our Founder & First Commodore, Al Lawton, was to sail up and down the coast participating in CDSOA activities. (He IS retired.)
Anyone told Al yet!?

Re: Last week at Solomons?
Well, we missed you all while we were sailing down in the Keys last week, but it sounds like a great meeting we missed. We're looking forward to a rendezvous at the Rappahannock Yacht Club, just upriver from us. Favor us with details as soon as they are finalized!

Maine and the Great CDSOA Race Week, too!
Leo - Special studding sails and extra fine royals being sewn and fitted at this very moment!
The fly in the ointment is when the sawbones can schedule me for knee replacements. Will know more after my appointment with him next week.
By the way, belated thanks to you and Ruth for a lovely breakfast at the Lonesome Dove.
