Many 'tanks' for all the input from everyone. It's interesting how the thread gets curiouser and curiouser. It amazes me the knowlege that is contained in this website.
Leo's info is dead on. That is the way my CD 30 is set up. Apparently someone added another fuel fill for an additional tank that was subsequently removed. I appreciate all the great input. I will not replace the phantom tank.

Actually, Leo, I don't sail anywhere....yet. I hope to close on a CD30C within the next couple weeks. It will be berthed in Galveston. I have a contract on the boat and we are in the process of lining up all the (paper) ducks.
Someday soon, I hope!
