Remedy has a nylon thru-hull transducer for her Standard Horizon depthmeter. This summer's lightning strike has definitely disabled the meter, but the transducer has not been tested and, I suppose, may be okay. Is there a way to check the transducer (after I get the new meter) without putting the boat in the water or pulling the transducer out?

Re: Testing Depth Transducer on the hard?
Is it that hard to pull the transducer?
By the way, I changed meters four years ago... the original transducer is still working fine.
