outboard well in 22 or not?

One seller says a well exists in the CD22( I know the Typhoon Senior has one), another seller says CD has never manafactured one with a well. The truth must be out there... G

In my experience,people selling "CD-22's" with a well really have a Ty. Sr. for sale. Have them send you a photo. Remember the Ty is a fractional rig, the CD-22 is masthead. The CD-22 has a sink, built in water tank, etc. while the Ty does not.
It's possible that some CD-22's were manufactured with a well, but I have never heard of any. If you really find one for sale, buy it!

there was also an alberg 22 made that is basically the same as the cd22. these did have an outboard well. one sits directly across from me in the marina as a matter of fact.

According to the specifications listed for the CD22, they did make some cd22s with an outboard engine well, others were inboard diesel. There is no separation, so I can't tell you how many of the 175 CD22s built, were set up for an outboard, but it would seem that not many were since there are apparently some wise old CD22 owners out there who have never seen one. I'd say if you found one and you like the 22 foot version, then grab it if the price is right. Good Luck.
