CD25- Hull Leak

Post by Tom »

Has anyone with a CD25 have any water leakage around the bottom of the outboard well fiberglass section where it joins the main part of the boat hull? It appears the outboard well section is a separate section that is glassed into the main part of the hull. We had a very small water leak when the boat is sailed hard and crawled inside the cockpit locker under sail with flashlight and the leak is in the joint area on the bottom were the well meets the hull. Anyone with a similar problem?

What year is the boat? The fabrication of the well changed over the years. The easy solution is calk. The right solution is a band of fiberglass "tape" at the seam.
