Charter a CD 25?? What would you charge??????

Post by Douglas McMullin »

A friend of a friend would like to charter my CD25. Kind of a small boat to charter, but they cant afford to spend much. Anyone have any idea what I should ask? (7 days-6 nights) The boat is in excellent condition and is almost over outfitted... I know full well what larger higher quility boats go for, but I am unsure of what my little boat might be worth... $350??? Anyone?

I would charter it at $300, $50/day. Request damage security of some type.
Check with your insurance carrier about charter exclusions in your policy.

definitely talk to your insurance agent. i bet that you will find it not allowed. i am sure that there are ENORMOUS potential legal hassles to being a charter/owner. you may be best off from a legal standpoint to lend them your boat and hope some good karma comes of it.
