I am considering buying a Cape Dory 24 Trawler. I just sold my CD 30.
Wife is unfortunately tired of sailing. I have found very little info
on this boat. Anybody know how many where made,what years,
and what is the market value of a 1984 ? I appreciate any help.

I have a few pages of brochure on it, courtesy of Ron Carpenter - you'll find an earlier post by him by using the "Search" function on the main message page and searching on "trawler". Haven't had a chance to post the info yet. It claims 6.25 knots cruise at 3/4 gph burn on the 30 hp. Westerbeke diesel.
My impression is that it is a rare and desirable boat. Like my 30, it was probably too well built to be price-competitive, which may explain why they stopped making it. Unfortunately I have no information on number built or value - perhaps a yacht broker has it listed in the BUC book and can help you on the price.
