I've been on this list for many years now, except when we cruise and we've had to abandon our access and I've always gotten useful info, but the incident below really rang home.
Recently I began the search for a reasonable cost alternative to replacing my kracor water tanks, but there seemed to be none available and I was faced with a $1400 plus replacement cost.
Fortunately, a number of list participants came to my aid and suggested a 3M adhesive solution which has only recently come on the market.
It's totally solved my problem and saved me over $1300 to boot.
My full flag salute to those fine folks who take the time to share their hard won knowledge with us all and make this list the best site on the planet for all Cape Dory owners.
