westerbeke 100 hp diesel

I am seriously looking at a 28 Cape Dory trawler with a 100 hp diesel with 900hours. Has anyone had any specific problems with this engine or transmission and any other areas to check when the boat is surveyed. It is a 1986 hull with fly bridge.Thanks
