Just splashed "Irie", Ty #1361. I noticed however that the tiller is slightly off center. There are several bolt heads visable at the junction of the tiller bracket and rudder shaft.
Has anyone ever done this before? Could you please advise if you have.
Thanks in advance.

How to center tiller on Typhoon?

Re: How to center tiller on Typhoon?
There's only one way tiller goes on (at least on my TY) It must be bent or twisted rudder post.

Re: How to center tiller on Typhoon?
You have one of the newer boats and it may have a key (little piece of metal that fits into a slot on the rudder post and the tiller arm). If it is missing, the two are free to swing about independent of each other.
Our boat, CD Typhoon #73, has one bolt that pinches the tiller arm onto the rudder post. The other bolt is like a set screw and screws directly towards the rudder post. Loosening both and swiveling the tiller handle can align the tiller with the rudder. Then, snug the bolts back down and it is done. Sail it and motor for a bit to see if it is in line.
Enjoy the great boat that you have.
