Alberg's Favorite Boats

Post by Lou Ostendorff »

Hello to All;
I read a few anecdotes somewhere, that said Carl Alberg admired the lines of the Cape Dory Typhoon more than any other Cape Dory, but that he owned, and sailed a Pearson Commander well into his '80s. Has anyone else heard or read anything about Carl's favorite boats? TIA

I have read widely that Carl designed the CD30 as a personal boat for he and his wife to use when he retired. The boat was so well accepted however, that they built somewhere near 300 of them.

Cheers~!
