Used Sails - Cape Dory Typhoon

Post by Randy Waesche »

Need to purchase a main and jib in moderate to good condition for a Cape Dory Typhoon. No racing involved, just moderate summer weekend sailing. Please advise what dealer to locate or if their is an individual selling. Thank you in advance for any help.

Try these guys You give them your measurements and they tell you what they have in stock, rate them, send them to you with a month warrantee. You can inspect them, bend them on to see if they fit before you accept.

good luck

I am racing my typhoon on a weekly basis and I will be purchasing new sails sometime this season. I don't know how long it will take to make them. I have a main that is in moderate to good condition(missing a couple of inexpensive battens, and a jib which looks good but has lost all of its crispness. Probably moderate condition. The jib is original('74) and the main is newer (Baxter Sails, VA). I am located in Michigan if you want to look, or I could take pictures.

Thanks,

Jay
