does it make sense to remove the teak parts on the cd 27 to finish them?
has anyone done this?
are all of the parts removeable?
how is it done how difficult is it
is it advisable to remove certain parts and leave others alone?

I haven't done that. Seems to me every time you remove a part that involves unscrewing a part and then reinstalling it, you leave yourself at the mercy of a potential leak. Everything has to be rebedded. The more times you do it, the greater the chance that one of those reinstallations won't be as watertight or as strong as you thought. There is also the possibility of stripping some threads if you're not careful. Considering that most of the teak can be finished without the extra work and risk of removing all of it, I'd leave a good, solid, watertight installation alone. Just my opinion.
