Congrads my wife and Iknow the feeling that you are going though right now for we just christened our CD22.It also was not sailed for sometime. We found her a mess about six months ago and she went though a complete refit rigging paint in and out new fittings all the wood inside and out.Her new name is Absolute Wonder>The great part about the whole thing is now we enjoy. Our first trip was last week to the Bahamas.Took abit longer calm winds.
We also added a 6 amp charging module to our 8 hp it was one of the best investments we made.My wife is now finishing the last of covers she did a wonderful job on the new awning and sail cover. At this time our budget did not allow for sails we have a working main and believe this a roller furling jib that was on the boat it works great for now.We did get a 150 genny but it blew out after 4 hours it was that bad oh well next year.
Guess I wrote enough again enjoy and be proud nothing like using and looking at what you created.
Happy and Free Sailing

Sounds like a great refit. They're great boats. A few of questions, if you don't mind:
You mention putting in new thru-hulls. Did you also install seacocks? Apparently some of the early Ty models didn't have them. (They're an essential safety feature. I once questioned the need for them in a Ty and near got my head bit off!)
I've been considering putting in a 12v system. What did you install? How does it charge?
Where will she be moored? We keep Pokey II in the Bayside Marina in Little Neck Bay. Perhaps we'll encounter each other!
Thanks for the info and good sailing.
