Thru-hull on CD25

I just bought my first CD and have a 2" drain out the bilge on
the starboard side next to where the pump sits. I found no threaded plug around. How is this closed up ?

This may have been added by a previous owner - my '78 hasn't got one. What year is your boat? Is the hole actually down in the bilge? Do you refer to the pickup for a bilge pump?
