Does anybody have records that show the total weight of an 81 CD 25. My records show displacement as 4000 lbs. This does not indicate the total weight of the boat, or does it? Thanks

Weight of CD25

Re: Weight of CD25
Yup it does. A boat displaces an amount of water equal to its weight (unless it sinks in which case it weighs more than the water it displaces) But the displacement in the data sheet is generally for an unloaded boat. All the gear you put on will increase its displacement and the boat will ride lower in the water.
Re: Weight of CD25...ask your travel-lift operator
Jim,
The operator of the Marine Travel Lift where I keep our cd-36 has given me the weight of our boat in the past. I guess it has some sort of pressure or force transducer. You might try asking. Your boat is probably heavier than the originally quoted number and you may be surprised by how much.
